On May 30th, I will be participating in the Good Grief 5K – an event that honors grief and supports the mission of Empty Arms Vermont. 

It is hard to believe that on March 15th, Magdalena Louise would be celebrating her 16th birthday. As her mom, I do not wallow in the pain of missing her - I actually enjoy daydreaming about the what-ifs. A friend recently reminded me that, as long as I love Maggie, I will grieve her not being with me. That is okay. 

AND - I invite you to join me in my goal of raising funds to support those in our community who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss, yet rarely are these losses free to be grieved openly and with a supportive community. Funding helps bring awareness through advocacy, education, and community to an unrecognized need and fills a gap in Vermont's system of care. At its core, Empty Arms Vermont is a community of connection, compassion, and friendship.
